Accelerate Maryland Partners, led by Transurban and Macquarie, have been selected as the exclusive Developer responsible for the Predevelopment Work for the American Legion Bridge I-270 to I-70 Relief Plan. We are excited to announce that we are preparing to launch a process to identify D&C Contractor(s) to deliver the first section of the project, specifically “Phase South” which includes improvements to I-495 from the vicinity of the George Washington Memorial Parkway south of the Potomac River, across and including the American Legion Bridge, to the interchange between I-270 and I-370. Below are the high-level milestones for the Project.

They both have local presence and experience, as well as a track record of innovation in defining design and engineering solution for large and complex projects. The Designer has secured the exclusive support from a pool of expert local design and engineering advisors.
